Game Rules

Welcome to War Era! Please read and follow these rules to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

1. One-Account Policy

Players are limited to a single account. Creating multiple accounts or using someone else's account for any reason is strictly prohibited. Intentional or repeated violations of this policy will result in a permanent ban.

2. IP and Device Sharing

Players can share a device or IP address if they have been registered as a “Family Group”. This status must be requested in advance to an admin on our Discord. Group members are prohibited from:

  • Trading equipment
  • Working for each other

All transactions must stay fair and balanced. Any attempts to bypass these rules can result in the removal of sharing status, fines and temporary or permanent bans.

3. Bots and Automation

The use of bots, scripts, or any form of automation to gain an advantage over other players is strictly forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to, web scraping and creating scripts that bypass the game intended functionality or restrictions.

While data collection and display tools that use the official public API are allowed, for any other development or data access, please contact the staff team directly.

4. Bug Exploits

Exploiting or ignoring bugs for personal gain is forbidden. All players are expected to report any discovered bugs and avoid taking advantage of them. Valuable contributions will be recognized with the “Bug Finder” badge.

5. Boosting and Exploitation

Accounts created solely to benefit a player, group, military unit or country are not permitted. Exploited accounts can take many forms. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Low-wage labor (lower than 0.7x and above 1.3x the normal salary)
  • Using outside market standards or manipulated trade prices
  • Gear merging schemes
  • Funneling assets without proper exchange
  • Repeatedly tipping articles
  • Repeated donations of resources or money to a military unit or country

Not all forms of helping are treated as boosting or exploiting; the intent will be assessed in line with the list provided above.

Exploited accounts will be permanently banned and the boosted account will receive a temporary ban, fine, or permanent ban if repeated.

A gear merging scheme consists of buying items with very low durability at a relatively high price, merging them, and then reselling the result at a low price.

6. Taking Over and Misuse of State/Military Unit Assets

Political Take Overs (PTOs) are permitted, but misusing it to extract a country's resources for personal/another country's gain, to damage the country or to intentionally distort market conditions is a punishable offense, which will include fines, bans, and removal from government roles. This goes for Military Units as well.

7. Community Behavior

  1. English is the only allowed language in World/Global chat
  2. The report tool must be used fairly
  3. The following content, directly or implied, is strictly prohibited:
    • Insults, slurs and targeted harassment
    • Revealing personal information or doxxing (such as names or addresses), without explicit consent
    • Sexual, explicit or suggestive remarks, comments, images or content
    • Any form of discrimination, racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia and hate speech
    • Content about ongoing real-world wars and armed conflicts
    • Glorification/apology of hateful ideologies such as nazism, neo-nazism, fascism, terrorism and terrorist groups and movements (considered as such by the United Nations, the European Union or France), genocide denial, war crimes, or crimes against humanity, Putinism and communism
    • The use of profiles (picture, description, name) related to aforementioned ideologies and movements as well as political figures linked to ongoing real-world wars and armed conflicts. Humoristic names, descriptions and pictures are tolerated, with the exception of any content related to nazism and neo-nazism.
    • Glorification, promotion or encouragement of rule-breaking or cheating
    • Promotion of other games, products, or services
    • Spam and repeated messages
  4. Community Behavior rules apply to every possible place within the game where people can write text and post content, as well as everywhere within the War Era Discord server
  5. Prohibited content will be removed, and offenders will be muted and/or banned for increasing periods of time, depending on the level and/or frequency of abuse. Highly problematic individuals with a heavy history of abuse will be permanently muted or banned.

8. Punishments and Appeals

Punishments, along with their reasoning, are visible on user profiles. Players may appeal through the official Discord server, where detailed explanations and evidence will be provided. Rule violations can be reported with supporting evidence.

Just because something isn't explicitly stated in the rules does not mean you can abuse it. Attempts to bypass rules or exploit loopholes will still be punished.
